How many of you are familiar with Game of Thrones, the TV series on HBO? I’ve never seen it although my husband loves the show. He gets excited when Sunday […]
While on a business trip to Daytona Beach, I was asked to accompany my boss to a Camping World store near Orlando. While driving down International Speedway I noticed the […]
While waiting for a friend at Barnes and Noble, I decided to browse the science fiction aisles. Even though I was here a few days earlier, I found myself at the Star Trek “shelf”. Yes, I’m still a little disappointed there was only one shelf designated for all Star Trek books. After looking at the few books displayed, I rounded the corner to the next aisle. This section was full of fantasy and science fiction. My eyes looked at all the books lined up. I was a bit lost here because I normally don’t read science fiction/fantasy other than Star Trek and I don’t know of any authors in this genre.
How often to do you buy and read books based off a television show? Yesterday I made a visit to Barnes and Noble with my niece Amanda. We headed to the Science Fiction section because I like to look at the Star Trek books. Since the original Star Trek series lasted only three seasons, I like to read the books and imagine what it would have been like if the story written was an episode starring such now famous names as William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, and Deforest Kelley. After skimming through the one shelf of books available (yes, I was hugely disappointed there was only ONE shelf of Star Trek books), I began to browsed the other aisles around the area and came across a book from the TV series Once Upon A Time.
I’m not one for “bucket lists” but I think I found one that fits me perfectly! My MIL posted an article on my Facebook wall about the “30 Most Beautiful […]
It is so much fun to shop for new books. I think that’s the only shopping I really enjoy…I’m not much for clothing or shoes, but put me in a bookstore and I can browse the aisles for hours! Although I prefer to look for books at a physical store where I can hold and feel the book (yes, sometimes the feel of a book has a say in me buying it), I’m not opposed to online shopping. One of my favorite places to shop online is BookOutlet.com because they have such reasonable prices.
