Unboxing: PageHabit Fantasy Box for October!

I tried another subscription box!!!

It really wasn’t my fault…really…you see, I entered PageHabit’s giveaway in October and was one of the lucky 500 winners who, if subscribed, would receive an extra book in their box as well as an extra bookish item (which I didn’t get L).  The box costs $29.99 and although it’s a bit pricy, I figured it would be worth it since I’d receive free shipping, an extra book and an extra bookish item.  Plus the book is annotated by the author which is pretty amazing.

When the box arrived I was a bit surprised at the size of the box.  It looked small to me.  When watching unboxings on BookTube, the boxes somehow seemed larger.  But when I saw myself unboxing it, it actually looked like everyone elses. Hahaha!

Another thing I found was when I opened the box, the cover was completely yellow – there weren’t the familiar words on it asking the receiver to share their box via social media.  I thought that was kind of strange too…

The box I picked was the Fantasy box.  The nice thing about PageHabit is the ability to choose what genre you want to receive.  Another neat feature is that you get to read a snippet of what the book is about, so after reading all of them, the fantasy snippet sounded the most interesting to me.

Now for the unboxing:

The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the pen shaped like a cactus.  I remembered seeing this item in someone else’s unboxing a few months back, so I knew when I saw it that it was a pen.  Then I saw the orange pumpkin.  It was so cute and I was kind of sad I opened my box in November so I really couldn’t use it – guess it’ll have to wait until next October. And the final bookish item was the pillowcase which I absolutely loved!  It was SO original and I’ve never seen anything like that before in a subscription box.  I still haven’t put it on my pillow, however, I will. 🙂

The fantasy book in the November box was A Plague of Giants by Kevin Hearne.

The second book I received was The Beast Is an Animal by Peternelle van Arsdale which was not annotated.
